We have seen our lives completely change within a six-month period. The way we shop, go to school, attend church, sports, and anything else you want to name – it is all different. The one thing that has not changed is the curse of addiction in our community. In fact, it may have even intensified. The way we offer help for those who suffer has been different, but the solution is not! We believe that a person TRULY finds freedom in Jesus Christ.
Even during this pandemic, we have still been able to help many get into residential programs. Also, we have now reopened our Monday and Thursday night support groups. We have taken, and will continue to take, every precaution to make Living Free safe for everyone.
Over the last few months, we have continued serving meals and giving away necessities such as toilet paper, shampoo, detergent, and many other items. We have had several organizations and churches that have helped us do this. We are now serving meals to go on Thursday nights after our meeting.
I’m very thankful for the ones that didn’t allow this pandemic to stop them from serving their community.
I tell you all of this news let you know that Living Free is still helping people find freedom daily. With the typical summer months and now the pandemic, we need your help now more than ever. Our giving took a big hit in June, July, and August. We ask that you pray about how you can help us finish the summer and the rest of the year in a big way.
Thanks for always being a part of Living Free. We have been active in our community since 2004, and many who will read this plea have been a part of the journey since then. Wow! That’s 16 years!
